The Task
You are a Sumatran Tiger. That's right, you are fierce!
You also know how to read and write pretty well.
You have a bird friend who travels across the seas to the United States National Zoo and Bukit Forest in Sumatra.
Your bird Friend loves to transport letters for you so that you can communicate with other tigers.
You are going to write a letter or postcard to a friend or relative.
In order to write about your life and to get to know the life of your friend or relative, you will do some research to get into character.
All good actors do research when they want to become a character.
During the next 4 days it is your job to investigate as much as you can about Sumatran Tigers that live in the zoo and in the forest.
Everyday there will be a sheet you need to complete.
On the last day you will write a letter, or a postcard, as a Sumatran tiger to another Sumatran tiger.
The goal is to have you think critically about the life of animals in the zoo and in the wild because it is important for us to really understand how actions impact the lives of animals.
