Write a letter
Remember, You are a Tiger!
Today is the day you use all the information you gathered.
Write a letter or postcard as a tiger in the Zoo or the Forest.
If you are writing as a tiger from the Zoo, write to the tiger in the forest.
If you are writing as a tiger from the forest, write to the tiger in the Zoo.
Write a letter or create a postcard as a tiger in the Zoo or the Forest. If you are writing as a tiger from the Zoo, write to the tiger in the forest. If you are writing as a tiger from the forest, write to the tiger in the Zoo. Tell your Tiger friend or relative about your life. Write about where you live (Do you live in the zoo or in the wild?), how you live ( Do you sleep a lot?) who you live with (If you live in the wild, do you see other tigers?), what you do and eat (If you live in the zoo, do you eat less or more than animals in the wild? ; If you live in the zoo do you catch your own food?), why you live where you live (Talk about threats to Sumatran Tigers and conservation) and if you like humans or not.
Add anything else you want. The letter is friendly and informal. You can be happy and funny, or sad. It just depends how you feel as a tiger.
I will read my letter and postcard, then it will be your turn to write a letter or postcard. If you don't finish this in class, you can finish it at home. Remember to use the writing process!
If you are making a postcard, remember to draw something for the front. You can draw the Tiger itself, its habitat, maybe even a map, or anything you think is appropriate.
Look at the Rubric to see how I will grade this.
